- 6 slices of bread, cubed
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Butter for greasing the baking dish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cubed bread and sliced bananas to the egg mixture, stirring gently to combine.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can sprinkle chopped nuts or chocolate chips on top before baking.
- This casserole can be prepared the night before and stored in the refrigerator, then baked in the morning.
