Description

Cheesy Meatloaf Casserole is a comforting dish that combines the classic flavors of meatloaf with gooey cheese, making it a family favorite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined and form into a loaf shape.
  4. Place the meatloaf in a baking dish and spread marinara sauce on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to the meat mixture for added flavor.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
