- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- ¼ cup Amaretto liqueur
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy cream, cold
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese, room temperature
- ⅓ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
- 2 tbsp Amaretto liqueur
- 1 pack (approx. 24) ladyfinger biscuits
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Fresh cherries and shaved dark chocolate (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Cherry Mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine the cherries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and ¼ cup of Amaretto. Cook over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes until softened. Let cool.
- Create the Cream: Beat the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form. In another bowl, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream.
- Prepare the Dipping Mixture: Stir the remaining 2 tbsp of Amaretto into the cooled espresso.
- Layer your Tiramisu: Quickly dip ladyfingers into the espresso-Amaretto blend. Arrange a layer in an 8×8-inch dish.
- Assembly: Spoon half of the mascarpone cream over ladyfingers, then half of the cherry mixture. Repeat with remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone, and cherry mixture.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Serve Up Deliciousness: Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with chocolate and cherries before serving.

Make-ahead recommended for best flavor. Avoid over-soaking ladyfingers to maintain texture.
