Description

A delicious crusty cob loaf filled with succulent garlic butter prawns, perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large cob loaf
  • 250g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 100g butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut the top off the cob loaf and hollow out the inside.
  4. In a skillet, cook the prawns in the garlic butter mixture until they turn pink.
  5. Fill the hollowed cob loaf with the garlic butter prawns.
  6. Replace the top of the cob loaf and wrap it in foil.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven, unwrap, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
  • Can be served as an appetizer or a main dish.
  • Ensure prawns are fresh for the best taste.
