Description

A delicious and low-carb dish featuring shrimp and sausage stuffed in cabbage leaves, seasoned with Cajun spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  4. Add sausage and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in shrimp, diced tomatoes, and Cajun seasoning; cook until shrimp are pink.
  6. Remove cabbage leaves from the head and blanch in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Stuff each cabbage leaf with the shrimp and sausage mixture.
  8. Place stuffed cabbage in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until heated through.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cheese on top before baking.
  • Can substitute sausage with chicken or turkey for a lighter option.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for spiciness.
