Description
A delicious Korean BBQ Steak Rice Bowl featuring marinated flank steak, fluffy rice, and a spicy cream sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
Instructions
- Marinate the Steak: Combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger in a medium bowl. Add the flank steak, ensuring it’s fully coated with the marinade. Cover and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the Steak: Preheat your grill or cast iron skillet to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill or pan-sear it for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until it reaches desired doneness. Let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
- Prepare the Spicy Cream Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise with sriracha until well combined.
- Assemble Your Bowls: Serve cooked rice in each bowl, top with sliced steak, and drizzle with spicy cream sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
For maximum flavor, marinate the steak longer or prep the rice earlier in the day. Customize with additional veggies or a fried egg on top.
