Description

Pizza Grilled Cheese is a delightful fusion of two beloved comfort foods, combining the gooeyness of grilled cheese with the savory flavors of pizza.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread pizza sauce.
  3. Layer mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on top of the sauce.
  4. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the toppings.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
  7. Cook until the bread is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  8. Flip the sandwich and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted, about another 3-4 minutes.

Notes

  • Feel free to add your favorite pizza toppings.
  • For a spicier kick, add jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes.
