Description

Sourdough Discard Biscuits are a delicious way to use leftover sourdough starter, turning what would be waste into a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the sourdough discard and milk until just combined.
  5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
  6. Roll out to about 1-inch thickness and cut into biscuits.
  7. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes
