- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1–2 tablespoons chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, sugar, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Once the sauce is boiling, stir in the cornstarch slurry and chili flakes.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and let it cool before serving.

- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- Adjust the level of chili flakes based on your heat preference.
