Description

Authentic Tantuni is a traditional Turkish street food featuring sizzling beef, fresh vegetables, and warm lavash bread, offering a delightful and fulfilling meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250g ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lavash bread
  • Fresh vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it turns translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef to the pan, breaking it apart with your spatula. Cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Warm your lavash bread in another pan, or opt for a quick 30-second blast in the microwave.
  5. Place the beef mixture in the center of your lavash and layer on the fresh vegetables.
  6. Fold the lavash tightly around the filling and serve warm.

Notes

Customize the vegetable choices with bell peppers or radishes for extra flavor and texture. For a healthier option, consider using ground turkey or chicken.
