Description

This delightful Chocolate Cherry Quick Bread combines rich chocolate and tart cherries for a harmonious treat perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl: all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. Whisk wet ingredients in another bowl: milk, eggs, and melted butter until blended.
  4. Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients, stirring gently to avoid overmixing.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped cherries until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best flavors, consider baking a day in advance. This bread can also be cooked in an air fryer at 320°F (160°C) for about 30-35 minutes.
