- 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup cold butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the cherries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl and gently fold them together.
- Spread the cherry mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Mix the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon in another bowl.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the oat topping generously over the cherry mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
