Description

A luxurious, hearty casserole that combines the classic flavors of Eggs Benedict into a convenient, delicious dish perfect for brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 English muffins, torn into pieces
  • 12 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup diced ham or Canadian bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., Gruyère or cheddar)
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Hollandaise sauce (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking dish.
  2. Layer the torn English muffins evenly at the bottom of the greased dish.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the English muffin layers, allowing it to soak in.
  5. Add the diced ham and sprinkle with cheese and green onions.
  6. Pour any remaining egg mixture on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until set and golden brown on top.
  8. Serve warm drizzled with hollandaise sauce.

Notes

Assemble the casserole the night before for a deeper flavor and creamier texture. Cover with foil if browning too quickly.
