Description

A mouthwatering twist on classic hot dogs featuring a spicy and creamy Firecracker Sauce, topped with cheese, onions, and jalapeños.

  • 8 soft hot dog buns
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or pepper jack)
  • ½ cup diced red onions
  • ½ cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions

  1. Make the Firecracker Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and fresh lime juice until smooth.
  2. Prep the Toppings: Dice red onions and slice jalapeños. Shred cheese and chop cilantro.
  3. Heat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the Hot Dogs: Cook the hot dogs for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally.
  5. Toast the Buns: During the last 2 minutes, place buns cut-side down on the grill.
  6. Assemble the Hot Dogs: Spread Firecracker Sauce inside each toasted bun, add the hot dog, and top with cheese, onions, jalapeños, and cilantro.
