Description

Indulge in a decadent French toast sandwich featuring crispy fried chicken nestled between two luscious, custardy slices of toast, drizzled with sweet maple syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of thick bread (Brioche or challah)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 pieces of cooked fried chicken (spiced)
  • Maple syrup (optional)
  • Butter for frying

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, soaking briefly.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and melt a generous pat of butter.
  4. Fry the soaked bread slices until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  5. Layer the crispy fried chicken between two slices of French toast.
  6. Drizzle with maple syrup if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use day-old bread and prepare the egg mixture in advance.
