Description

Juicy Greek chicken burgers infused with fresh herbs and feta, served with cool tzatziki sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup grated cucumber
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground chicken, minced garlic, grated onion, parsley, mint, oregano, feta, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into four equal-sized patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Cook the patties in a skillet or on the grill over medium heat for about 5 to 6 minutes on each side.
  4. Prepare the tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  5. Toast the burger buns if desired.
  6. Assemble the burgers with tzatziki, lettuce, chicken patty, and a slice of tomato.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Tzatziki can be made a day in advance for enhanced flavor.
