Description

A rich and buttery brioche loaf swirled with vibrant raspberry jam, perfect for breakfast or indulgent treats.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Warm the wet ingredients: In a small saucepan, warm the milk and butter until melted, then remove from heat and stir in eggs.
  3. Combine and knead: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise: Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour.
  5. Prepare the filling: Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread raspberry jam over it.
  6. Form the loaf: Roll the dough tightly and place it into a greased loaf pan.
  7. Second rise: Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  9. Egg wash and bake: Brush with egg wash and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
  10. Cool and enjoy: Allow to cool in the pan before slicing.
