Description

Juicy Salisbury steak meatballs served over creamy garlic herb mashed potatoes, combining rich flavors and comforting textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp dried herbs (like parsley or thyme)
  • Garlic powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, egg, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix until just combined.
  3. Form into meatballs the size of golf balls and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 20 minutes or until they are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  5. Boil salted water in a large saucepan, add potato chunks, and cook until fork-tender (15-20 minutes).
  6. Drain the potatoes, return them to the pot, and mash with milk, butter, herbs, garlic powder, and salt until creamy.
  7. Serve the baked meatballs over a generous scoop of garlic herb mashed potatoes.

Notes

Make-ahead tips: Prepare the meatball mixture a day in advance and refrigerate to enhance flavor. Adjust cooking time for air fryer options.
