Description

A delightful burger combining savory flavors of ground beef, sharp cheddar, and sweet apples, topped with a creamy maple aioli.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for topping
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sharp cheddar cheese, diced apple, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until everything is well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, using your thumb to create a small dent in the center of each to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
  4. While the burgers cook, prepare the maple aioli by mixing the mayonnaise, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.
  5. Once the burgers are perfectly cooked, assemble them on toasted buns layered with crisp lettuce and juicy tomato, and add a generous dollop of maple aioli on top.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy every delicious bite!

Notes

Make-ahead tips include mixing the burger ingredients a day in advance and refrigerating. Customize with different cheese or omit ingredients as desired.
