Description
A delightful burger combining savory flavors of ground beef, sharp cheddar, and sweet apples, topped with a creamy maple aioli.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 medium apple, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce and tomato for topping
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, sharp cheddar cheese, diced apple, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until everything is well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, using your thumb to create a small dent in the center of each to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
- While the burgers cook, prepare the maple aioli by mixing the mayonnaise, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and salt in a small bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Once the burgers are perfectly cooked, assemble them on toasted buns layered with crisp lettuce and juicy tomato, and add a generous dollop of maple aioli on top.
- Serve immediately and enjoy every delicious bite!
Notes
Make-ahead tips include mixing the burger ingredients a day in advance and refrigerating. Customize with different cheese or omit ingredients as desired.
