Description

A comforting blend of smoky sausage, creamy potatoes, and robust Cajun spices, perfect for chilly evenings.


Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the diced potatoes, sliced sausage, chopped onion, and minced garlic in your slow cooker.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and add the Cajun seasoning. Stir gently to ensure everything is well-integrated.
  3. Cover and set to low for 360-420 minutes or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional 30 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

You can prep the ingredients the night before and store them in the fridge. Also, this recipe can be adapted for stovetop cooking if desired.
